Morkie :)

This is my new obsession! It's a morkie...cross between a maltese and a yorkie. I asked for one for Christmas, but I think I'm going to have to wait until our refund check comes.



I saw one at the pet store the other day, and it was so hard to walk away!

White Christmas After All?

I live in Pennsylvania where the snow is falling like crazy! Just wanted to share some pictures of what might be our White Christmas after all :)

It has been crazy here!

Austin woke up one morning as was scratching the crap out of his head, so when I checked what was going on, I discovered he was covered in a rash and big red hives. It was everywhere. The poor guy was so miserable. I took him to urgent care and of course they tell me he's having an allergic reaction to something. He was on amoxicillin two weeks ago, so they though maybe it was that, but he had been off of it for days and had it previously so I highly doubted them. I gave him Benadryl and covered him in cortisone cream and just tried to make him as comfortable as I could.



He woke up the next morning as was far worse. He started to break out into hives on his face and was crying because he was so itchy. I ended up taking him to the ER b/c I was very concerned about swelling of his tongue and what not since it had reached his face. They gave us a prescription for Prednisone and sent us home!

The next day he was soo much better. He has a few bruises from where the 'burn rash' was, but at least he isn't covered and crying b/c it was breaking my heart.

We still don't know what happened. I haven't given him any new foods or any new soaps or laundry detergent. We think he's developed a new reaction to something he's been exposed to before. I wish I knew so I could avoid it, but it's never that easy...is it?

I've been telling my family how Corbin walks, but everytime I try to show them...Corbin refuses to walk! So now, I have proof.

*Did I mention he just turned 10 months old?!?

Nate & H1N1

Just a quick note to say Nathan is sick with H1N1 flu. He woke up this morning with a headache. He started running a 102.0 temp and was not himself. I can't seem to convince him to drink anything and that worries me!

His doctor told him he wasn't allowed to go back to school for the remainder of the week and he cried, poor little guy.

Hope he feels better soon!

...and now he's three

*I wrote this letter to my son on his 1st birthday. I look back and can't believe he had turned one at that time and now I look ahead and see he is turning three this week. No matter how old my boys get, they will forever be my babies!

Today at 6:02 am you have reached a wonderful milestone. Today marks one year that you have been in this wonderful world! Although, you won’t remember any of today or the past year for that matter, you have made it such an amazing year for Mommy. Before Mommy became pregnant with you the doctors told her she wouldn’t be able to have any more children after your big brother, Nathan was born. You however had different plans. You became my little miracle baby. Mommy & Daddy were so happy to learn that we would have a little baby and couldn’t wait for your arrival. Now today I sit back and watch you walk around the house, clap your hands, blow kisses and say ‘I love you’ and it brings tears to my eyes. I am so very proud of you and all that you have accomplished in such a short time. You are destined for great things Austin. Don’t let anyone ever tell you different. God has big plans for you my little man. If you could only see the joy and happiness you bring to everyone you meet, you’d be amazed by all the smiles you would see. I want you to know that Mommy loves you with every ounce of her heart and soul. Happy birthday Austin. May each and every birthday from here on out be filled with people you love and happiness to surround you!

When It Rains...

It Pours...



So, yea. That is exactly how I am feeling lately. I've been wanting to get on to the site and update, but life has been beyond hectic. My husband had surgery last week and is still in recovery. He needed a bowel resection due to Crohn's Disease. He had been in and out of the hospital for the past 7 months and in severe pain. This surgery was the last resort since he had stopped responding medications. Hopefully, now he can start to get his life back.

The boys are really missing their daddy. I took them out to the hospital yesterday to visit, but was told children under the age of 18 are not permitted to visit due to the increase of flu cases at the hospital. Of course, I was upset that I packed up all 3 boys and drove all the way out there to be told 'No' especially when I promised the kids they could see him. I spoke with the charge nurse and she allowed us up for a quick 20 minute visit. They were so excited to see Adam.

On a different note...my best friend and I have our tickets for New Moon this Friday! Say what you will, but I read the entire sage in a matter of days and fell in love with Edward & Bella. I am not a 'twihard', but I am a fan...especially of Jacob ;) LoL
